1. Information We Collect

Sim2Course Golf ("we," "our," or "us") collects information you provide directly, including:

Account Information: Email address, display name, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
Golf and Round Data: Shot data you import, enter, or create through the Service, including club selections, ball-flight and equipment metrics, simulator or range sessions, scores, putts, penalties, notes, targets, aim points, shot start and finish points, shot paths, and derived performance statistics.
Usage Data: Privacy-minimized information about how you interact with our app (pages visited and allowlisted features used) to help us improve the service. Daily counters use your internal account id only to coalesce events and calculate unique active users; the product-analytics dashboard reports aggregate counts and does not expose user identities.
Crash Reports: If the app hits an error, it sends a short report to our own servers: the error message and the top of the technical stack trace, which part of the app it happened in, the app version, the screen size, whether it was the website, the iOS app or the Android app, and a random identifier for the installation so repeated reports can be counted. Email addresses, sign-in tokens and map coordinates are removed on your device and again on our server before anything is stored. Crash reports are not linked to your account, are never used for advertising, and are deleted after 30 days. We do not use a third-party crash-reporting service.
Location and Map Points: With your permission, location-enabled features may use your device’s precise GPS position while those features are open. You may also select positions manually on a satellite or aerial map. We may store course and hole identifiers, GPS or user-selected shot start and finish points, targets, aim points, saved pins, accuracy information, timestamps, paths, and distances with your round and shot history. Coordinates may be sent to our servers to calculate distances, elevation, weather, and recommendations, and limited round state or saved pins may be cached on your device. We do not use precise location for advertising or track your location in the background. A location attached to a submitted course or scorecard image may be retained to verify the submission and is deleted with the associated submission or account, subject to the limited exceptions described below.
Push Notification Data: If you enable notifications, we store a device notification token, your time zone and your language so we can deliver them. Delete the app or turn notifications off to stop this.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the Sim2Course Golf service.
Record rounds and shots; calculate distances, elevation, weather effects, dispersion, and recommendations; and generate maps, overlays, 3D visualizations, caddie booklets, and round recaps.
Calculate leaderboard rankings and enable friend comparisons.
Send essential account-related communications.
Detect, prevent, and address technical issues.

3. Analytics & Tracking

Sim2Course Golf uses first-party analytics only. We do not engage in cross-app or cross-site tracking. Specifically:

We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID) or share data with ad networks.
We do not build advertising profiles or track you across other apps or websites.
We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled and all advertising features disabled solely to understand aggregate app usage (e.g., which features are most used). This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Our first-party product counters do not store email addresses, button text, free-form event properties, location coordinates, or course geometry. Counter rows are retained for no more than 400 days.
Google Analytics runs on the website only. It is never loaded in the iOS or Android app, and on the website nothing is loaded or sent until you accept the consent banner — declining, or simply not answering, means no analytics request is made at all.
You may opt out of analytics collection at any time: on the website, through the consent banner; in the app, through Settings → Usage analytics, which takes effect immediately on that device.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your data:

With Other Users: When you participate in leaderboards or friend comparisons, your display name and aggregated statistics may be visible to other users.
Service Providers: We use providers to operate particular features: Base44 and Supabase (application hosting, authentication, databases, and file storage); Railway and Cloudflare (course rendering and content delivery); Mapbox (satellite and map content for caddie, range, and playable-course views); USGS and USDA programs (public aerial imagery and elevation data); OpenStreetMap contributors (open geographic and course data); OpenWeather (weather conditions); Resend (email); Google Analytics (consent-gated website analytics); and Apple and Google (purchases and push delivery). These providers process the requests and information needed for their services under their applicable agreements, licenses, terms, and privacy obligations.
Legal Compliance: If required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain account, round, shot, score, map-point, and performance data while your account is active or until you delete the applicable record, subject to the shorter 400-day product-usage-counter limit above. You can delete your account from your in-app profile by selecting Delete Account, or request deletion by emailing support@sim2coursegolf.com from your registered address. Account deletion also removes product-usage rows associated with your internal account id. Verified email requests are completed within 30 days.

When an account is deleted, app-owned golf records, stored shot and round coordinates, submissions, and friend data are removed; custom profile fields are cleared; booklet-preview access is revoked, and the account is deactivated. Base44-managed account fields—including the account ID, sign-in email, and name—cannot be overwritten by Sim2Course and remain only on the deactivated account record. Limited subscription-platform, transaction, security, and prior-trial records may be retained when reasonably necessary for billing audit, legal compliance, account integrity, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention. Retained data is not used for marketing. Information stored only on your device, such as cached map state, saved pins, or an unfinished round, may remain until you clear the app or browser storage or uninstall the app.

6. Location, Map, and Privacy Choices

You can deny or withdraw device-location permission through your operating-system settings. You can still use features that allow manual map-point selection, although location-dependent calculations may be unavailable or less accurate. Map and imagery providers receive the requests needed to display the area you view and may receive your IP address, device or browser information, and the geographic area requested. We do not sell personal information or use precise location for targeted advertising.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or an appeal concerning personal information. Submit a request from your registered email address to support@sim2coursegolf.com. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication protocols, and regular security assessments. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

Sim2Course Golf is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
